Six Thinking Hats
Description:
Decision-making happens all the time. A more deliberate and calculated decision-making and problem-solving processes are carried-out in business and official settings. Such a process if expected to produce the optimum result consider all possible perspectives. The “Six Thinking Hats” model is a technique of looking at decision points and problems from all angles. Each represented by a color, six perspectives are considered one-by-one in this process considering facts, intuition, possible risks, positive factors, innovation and control mechanisms. Based on a theory created by Edward de Bono, published in his book of the same title in 1985 (and now with a new edition available), our Program enables the participants to reach a successful solution or a most appropriate decision based on a rational and positive viewpoint but enriched by a consideration of other angles that can miss creative innovations, the acceptance of the implementors, and the security of having contingency plans.
